The worlds of Seruverse are home to many types of kobolds. Too many (~9 first party species), is what I would say were I not an enlightened individual. Today I shall tell thee of perrobolds.

Description
Perrobolds, also known as Geist Rawrian kobolds, are fey race monsters that resemble anthromorphic dog-rats with horns. In contrast to their beast-like appearance they have fur patterns that make them look rather dignified. Like all members of the fey race, perrobolds are naturally sapient monsters that can be born with a major affinity to one of several different magical elements. These elements are: red (fire), shiny (metal), brown (earth), black (darkness), or glittering (light). Genetics have no impact on this. Red is the most common affinity by far, and shiny is the rarest by far.
It’s impossible to tell which element of magic a perrobold was born with by just looking at them which causes their parents no shortage of problems. The most reliable way to tell their elemental affinity is to have them cast the elemental knife skill or any other skill/spell with effects that change based on the casters major affinity. Regardless of their affinity, all perrobolds are always pleasantly warm to the touch.

Character Creation Notes
Most perrobolds have names inspired by German names/words and/or sweet foods. Instead of being based on their families, a perrobold's last name is based on their place of residence. Some example names are Bakura of Bliss Caverns Hot Springs, Adele of Grandmarch Theatre, Red Velvet of Two Fiends Tavern, and Chocolate Milk of Burning Bush Worship Center.
Perrobolds always have dog-like faces, but their ears and tail can resemble any canine or rodent. Their fur can also resemble the patterns of any canine or rodent, but they retain their signature tie-like marking. The marking isn’t visible at birth, but becomes more visible as the kobold grows up. Eventually becoming fully visible as they reach adulthood.
The marking can resemble a normal tie, cravat, or bow tie. Their horns can be any shape, but they’ll always be ridged, made of bone, and they’ll only have 2. It should also be noted that a perrobold’s sclera matches the color of the glowing markings on their horns and tail. These parts being different colors has the same rarity as heterochromia.
Perrobolds are rather short with the tallest known adult only being 4 feet in height and the shortest being 2 feet in height. These heights do not include their horns. While most perrobold have horns shorter than 6 inches, some have much longer ones. If a perrobold has horns longer than 1 foot they’ll usually cut them for practical reasons. Their horns grow back quickly if damaged unless the damage was caused by cold iron. In that case they won't grow back without magical assistance.
Perrobold fashion tends to be geared towards practicality and comfort. Formal clothing is typically only worn when interacting other species. They're resistant to hot temperatures, so they tend to wear more clothes than most furred humanoid species do. That being said most prefer to not wear pants (shorts are fine) and shoes are only worn when absolutely necessary.
Diet
Perrobolds are omnivorous, and eat mostly the same foods that humans do. The major difference being that, like most fey, perrobolds need to eat more sugary foods. Candies, cakes, ice cream, and other manners of desserts are as vital to a perrobold's health as vegetables are to ours. Arrangements of candied fruits are very common housewarming gifts in perrobold society. Homemade ice cream is often gifted as part of an apology, cheesecakes are given to romantic interests, and joke candies like grass flavored jellybeans are considered a rather severe insult.
Culture
Perrobolds society is heavily based around hospitality. All are expected to behave as good hosts or guests when out and about. They can be rather forgiving (by fey standards), but once you cross a line you can expect a duel. Ever since Goldemar became the king of all kobolds more of these duels end with one side yielding rather than one side dying.
Interestingly, breaking and entering is not always considered rude in perrobold society. When one leaves their home in search of a new one, any building that hasn’t been claimed by a kobold or brownie is considered fair game. Many home and store owners have awoken to find that a kobold has taken up residence in their building. This is typically viewed as a good thing since having a kobold is the same as having a free cleaning and repair service. As long as one exhibits proper roommate behavior there will usually be little to no problems. Some people even leave out sweets at night hoping to entice wandering kobolds.
History
Up until 185 A.L. most perrobolds were either enslaved by the rarwidons (earth dragons) or hunted by the geivodons (metal dragons) of Geist Rawri. The draconics feared and loathed them for their ability to turn any ore into cobalt. After a successful rebellion led by Goldemar, the rarwidon and geivodon kings were slain and replaced with ones that weren't in favor of mass kobold oppression and slaughter. Since then, the perrobolds have established their own country known as New Germanica, and the relations between the 3 races has improved. It's still a bit rocky, but things are getting better.
Reproduction
The perrobold mating season starts around February 6th and lasts for 10 days. During this time all perrobolds that are of age start to feel the urge to procreate. In modern times many choose to resist the urge until they have a permanent mate, or after they already have a few kids. Resisting is typically done with potions that lower fertility or suppress the urge. Trying to make it through mating season without a mate or potions is extremely hard to do. Before the liberation of perrobolds some draconics even forced their kobold slaves to do so as a form of torture.
A perrobold’s gestation period is 4 months long, and they lay 1-4 eggs at a time instead of giving live birth. It takes the egg around a month to hatch, and 10 years to become an adult. Perrobolds are known to live up to 200 years. Like all fey, perrobolds have some extra control over their physical form, and can change their sex at will (unless they’re pregnant).
Perrobolds can naturally have hybrid children with any fey, human, or kobold species. Having a child with any other species can be done with some magical assistance. Perrobolds can also give live birth if the species of the child's father gives live birth. They don’t produce milk which can be a problem. Granted, this is a relatively easy fix for a fertility wizard, and the appropriate milk can always be bought.

Misc. Lore
Perrobolds don't shed their fur normally. When a strand of their fur falls off it simply burns away to nothing in an instant. Thankfully, the burning fur can't start fires.
Scissors made of cold iron can cut their fur without it disintegrating.
Perrobolds are not burned by cold iron like most fey are.
When a perrobold eats raw mint leaves it dulls their sense of taste and makes their saliva a rather good cleaning fluid. Because of this, tongue baths are a decently common thing perrobold couples do. They’re not flexible enough to give themselves one though.
They tend to have a sibling rivalry style dynamic with gatobolds
The chief gatobold, Lord Diablito, nicknamed the species perrobolds since they reminded him of dogs.
Perrobolds are naturally nocturnal.
Their use of gendered language is a direct result of being exposed to human culture by king Goldemaur
most perrobolds that become adventurers and/or dungeon delvers do so to find a mate and/or fancy home décor
Perrobolds and dwarves have a dynamic similar to Snow White and the 7 dwarves but with more angry Hispanic mom energy. Perrobolds living in dwarven society are known to carry boomerangs, sandals, or reinforced brooms.
Perrobolds are loosely based on the dog-like kobolds often found in Japanese rpgs
